[πŸ•™] Apply Conditional Visibility in Webflow based on Current CMS page equaling ms-data="Name"

Hey all, after wrapping my head around this I realized the missing piece to the puzzle. I feel as though a TON of us would like to have our Members have both a Public, and a Private profile; in effect, the both are two in the same, only the private iteration displays a certain link block that the public should not. So, to do this, I know it can be done with a small amount of Custom code. Essentially, something like this, assuming that member-specific pages are active and each correlate to a CMS collection page.Β

  1. Β Set custom attribute to a link block
  2. Β Custom code that makes the attributed element visible ONLY if "Name" of collection item of the current cms page is equal to "Name" Memberstack field of logged in user.

I know nothing about code, but using "context clues" I am pretty sure this is possible, and for anyone who does understand code, FinSweet's Webflow Hack YouTube Playlist shows much more complicated things being achieved so in theory this shouldn't be much of a challenge for a semi-experienced coder.

Some more details are as follows: Although I do have member specific pages, I do not hide any content, and instead use Zapier to individually update each members memberpage. This way, Non-signed-in users, and other signed-in users, still can access public profiles. Also, I use the default profile modal and bind it to a link block with the default "#/ms/profile". The problem with the system as of now, is that the default edit-profile-modal link-block is accessible on every profile for logged-in users. And if a user were to click on it from another users' public profile, the logic would open up their own personal model, but again, from another person's public page, which is just kind of funky more than it is a security risk, since after all, its their modal, not the one for the member who's public page is being viewed. Still, I hope I described the issue at hand, and hope someone can solve this enigma because I think this will be a paradigm shift for member stack.Β

Final piece of info to help you visualize what I am trying to do: Think about Instagram. When viewing your own profile, you have access to the edit profile buttons, but when you view another persons public profile, the layout (as it can be thought of as the same collection page in a Webflow scope) is the exact same, just without the access to specific buttons.

Thanks a million, Joe

[βœ…] Webflow Link Block "Go-to URL associated with user" capability?

Hey All,Β
Looking at the attributes panel I noticed there are things along the lines of what I want to achieve, but does anyone know if its possible to have a custom field for each member that is a URL, and have a dynamic Front-end Link Block in webflow that has something like /#/ms-data/"(any URL they enter)" ?Β  Thank you!Β
